District Service Projects
Camp sunshine
Camp Sunshine is one of our New England District Projects! Located in Casco, Maine near Sebago Lake, this program helps children with life-threatening illnesses and their families receive respite, recreation, support, and hope. This year-round camp helps 750 families annually with activities for children and their families to provide a place of relaxation, relationship building, and support.

Children of Peace International (COPI)
COPI is another New England District Project that helps children in Vietnam develop skills to thrive on their own. COPI support orphanages along with provides education and medical care to many parts of Vietnam. New England Kiwanis Family partners have helped support the building of schools to support local communities.

Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI)
KPTI is an organization funded by the Kiwanis Foundation of New England. This Institute was formed to serve the children of New England and has helped treat pediatric trauma patients along with fund research. KPTI continues to serve children by focusing on injury prevention through home safety packages, rubber ducks for bath temperature checks, and bicycle safety classes for children.

International Service Partners
Brick x Brick
CKI is starting a new partnership with UNICEF. Money raised by CKI members will be used to help Conceptos Plasticos, a women-led recycling project using plastic waste to make bricks. These bricks will then be used to make classrooms for students in Côte d’Ivoire along with providing school supplies.

CKI is partnered with Global Brigades, an international organization that helps CKI members find service opportunities virtually from home or abroad. These projects help underserved communities with health and economic programming.

UNICEF
CKI has worked with UNICEF to aid in many efforts worldwide, including the ongoing Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! The United Nations Children’s Fund helps save children’s lives by providing health care, immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, and emergency relief.

CKI is partnered with Active Minds, a nationwide organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults. Active Minds works to create change in workplaces and college campuses to support individuals mental health.
